HOPE, A BRIGHTER YEAR AHEAD

Hope is a Thing with Feathers
Emily Dickinson

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chilliest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

I love birds. I love how they sing songs to one another and glide in the sky. Such a simple carefree life. I love the symbolism that they represent.

The picture is of a bird of paradise, a lovely flower that brightened my birthday in Hawaii 2 years ago.

May 2010 be our year for hope and abundant blessings.
Cheers,
MA

Life in slower motion

Yesterday I ran so fast I could not smell the flowers.
Today
I
walked
and
the
scent
lasted
for
hours.

This poem, written by my sweet sister, has new meaning each time I recall it.

An entrance nonetheless

Okay, so some people take a minute to arrive, and others take half a century. I fall somewhere in between them all. This whole blogging thing is daunting to me. Heck, I am related to the No-techy family, which of course means that those genes have definitely passed on in some shape or form.

I told someone once that when they do finally arrive they will do so beautifully. Can't say the same for myself at this moment, but for what its worth, I have. So with no further ado, I present to you, Argonauta for a day, my blogspot.
